BSc (Hons) IT Management (incorporating HND Computing) 

Year 1 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HNC Computing. This course is designed to meet the varied needs of industry and commerce. On completion of the courses core elements, students can choose from three specialist streams of study: Software Development, Networking and Computing Science.
 
Year 2 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HND Computing. This is a comprehensive course which covers the broad competencies in computing - Hardware and Operating Systems; Database management, Website development, Software development and programming, SQL and Database Design, Mobile applications and Web server management. No formal work placements although opportunities for placements with IT employers may arise. 
 
Year 3 & 4 - Edinburgh Napier University
The skills you’ll graduate with will depend on your choice of subjects.  Overall, you’ll develop extensive knowledge in both broad-based and specialist areas of information technology, and the practical skills necessary for applying this knowledge to complex IT problems and issues that will arise in the field. You’ll hone your analytical skills, while learning to evaluate the needs of particular clients and communicate solutions effectively.

BEng Computer Security & Forensics (incorporating HND Computer Networking & Internet Technology) 
 
Year 1 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HNC Computing. This course is designed to meet the varied needs of industry and commerce. On completion of the courses core elements, students can choose from three specialist streams of study: Software Development, Networking and Computing Science.
 
Year 2 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HND Computer Networking & Internet Technology. The aim of this HND is to provide a solid foundation and practical skills in advanced Microsoft and Cisco technologies. You will use the latest software and study technical subjects – Cloud Computing, Ethical Hacking Fundamentals, Security Concepts, Switching and Routing Technologies and Server Administration.
 
Year 3 & 4 - Edinburgh Napier University
This course capitalises on the rising awareness of the importance of network security and is a valuable foundation to a successful and well-paid career. You will study the specialty areas of Security and Forensics, Software Development and Computer Networks. After four years, you’ll have the expertise needed to create and analyse effective and secure computer systems. Subjects may include - Information: Society and Security, Distributed Systems, Advanced Security and Digital Forensics, XML Web Services, Honours Project.
 
BEng Civil Engineering (incorporating HND Civil Engineering)

Year 1 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HNC Civil Engineering. This course is designed to meet the varied needs of industry and commerce. On completion of the courses core elements, students can progress onto year 2 of the programme.
 
Year 2 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HND Civil Engineering. This is a comprehensive course which covers the broad competencies Civil Engineering - Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Mechanics,  Structural Analysis: Statically Determinate and Indeterminate Structures, CAD for Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering: Fluid Mechanics.
 
Year 3 & 4 - Edinburgh Napier University
You will continue your studies on the BEng Honours Civil Engineering or the BSc Civil Engineering and Timber Engineering. This will provide you with the skills needed to develop the systems and structures that allow our society to operate efficiently. These courses combine mathematical and design skills, communication and management abilities.
 
BEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering (incorporating HND Electrical Engineering)
 
Year 1 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HNC Electrical Engineering. This course is designed to meet the varied needs of industry and commerce. Students that gain the HNC with a 'B' pass in the Graded Unit and a pass in the Maths for Engineering 2 unit will be able to access to year 2 of the HND Electrical Engineering programme.
 
Year 2 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HND Electrical Engineering. The aim of this HND is to provide a solid foundation and practical skills in advanced electrical concepts and theories. You will use the latest software and study technical subjects -  Analogue & Digital Electronics, MCU Processing, Embedded Systems and Electrical Theory.
 
Year 3 & 4 - Edinburgh Napier University
You will continue your studies on the BEng Honours Electrical Engineering. This course enables graduates to gain valuable experience and prepares them for a number of careers in the engineering sector. The course focuses on the application of electrical engineering skills to real world engineering situations. You’ll gain a broad understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts, further developed into an understanding of electrical building services, electrical plant and power systems.
BEng Energy & Environmental Engineering (incorporating HND Engineering Systems with Renewables)
 
Year 1 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HNC Engineering Systems with Renewables. This course is designed to meet the varied needs of industry and commerce. On completion of the courses core elements, students can progress to year 2 of the HND programme.
 
Year 2 - Edinburgh College
You will follow the framework for the HND Engineering Systems with Renewables. The aim of this HND is to provide a solid foundation and practical skills in advanced theories of Engineering Systems. You will use the latest simulation and design software and study technical subjects - Thermofluids, Materials, CAD, Quality Management, Mathematics 3, Renewable Energy Stystems plus Graded Unit examinations in Engineering Systems. This course is aligning candidates with undergraduate degree requirements.
 
Year 3 & 4 - Edinburgh Napier University
You will continue your studies on the BEng Honours Energy and Environmental Engineering. This is a wide-ranging course that equips graduates for a career in the renewable, built environment and traditional energy industries. As an Energy Engineer, you’ll be exploring cleaner, more efficient ways of using fossil fuels, while investigating and developing systems using renewable and sustainable resources, such as solar and wind energy.
