ART AND DESIGN NPA
SCQF Level 5
Art and Design

Course Overview
-

This is the ideal course if you are wishing to change career or continue your Art and Design studies to successfully progress onto further study in this growth area of the Creative Industries. You will develop your creative skills by combining digital technology with traditional drawing and making approaches to produce inspiring work in graphics, animation, digital imaging, visual art and web design. Engaging projects allow you to explore your own creativity and investigate a wide range of materials, techniques and approaches studying in our Mac Labs and Art Studios to prepare you for more specialist study.

You will use industry-standard software including Adobe Photoshop and Animate alongside drawing and sketchbook techniques to develop Art and Design work in Digital, 2D and 3D formats. Commercially driven briefs are approached creatively allowing artistic expression whilst developing a deeper understanding of the context of the Art and Design sector. The course is project-based and culminates with an end of year exhibition of your work and portfolio.
