A history course delivered in the Gaelic medium designed to enable fluent speakers to maintain their exposure to the language through further education opportunities. This is the Gaelic-medium version of N5 History: the topics and course structure are the same as the English. This would suit a student who wishes to apply their language skills to another subject delivered through the medium of Gaelic.
You will develop knowledge understanding and evaluation skills in three areas of history under the following units:
- Europe/The World.
How Course Is Assessed:
- Internal assessments on the three units and the final assessment involves: a historical research project on a topic of your own choice (25%) and an external SQA exam based on the course work
Number of Days per week:
- Tuesday evening for 2.5 hours
- Grade A at Gaelic Higher (Learners) or grade C and above at Advanced Higher (or an equivalent) and good writing skills.
