Course Overview
-

The National Progression Award (NPA) in Brickwork is an entry level course designed to teach you the skills needed for a career in brickwork or another related construction occupation. This is a full-time course taken over 36 weeks and taught at Edinburgh College’s Granton campus.

This course will teach you key skills that are essential when entering the construction industry. During this course you will study units such as Brickwork and Concrete Finishing which will enhance your knowledge of the industry and build strong employability skills. This course works as a steppingstone towards applying for an apprenticeship in the carpentry and joinery industry or further study.

This course is taught between Edinburgh College classrooms and our workshops where you will gain essential, hands-on and real-life experience of the construction trade.

You will be encouraged to gain a work placement with an employer within the construction trade for the duration of this course.
