This preparation course will equip you with the underpinning knowledge and basic skills across a range of well-being therapies in preparation for progression to our one-year SCQF Level 6 Award in Wellness Therapies.

Placement Information

  • There is no work placement requirement for this course however you will be expected to take partake in wellness therapies events organised by the college. Please note this is a mandatory requirement for the course

Entry Requirements
-
  • All applicants must be 16 years of age or older before the start date of the course and must hold :

  • A minimum of two National 5s or two relevant Standard Grades at credit Level or a qualification at SCQF Level 5 or equivalent preferably in English and Biology and pass interview task 

  • Mature returners entry with successful interview and pass interview task

English Proficiency Requirements

  • IELTS 5.5


How the course is assessed
-
  • All practical assessments are carried out on paying clients within our salons.  
  • The theory aspects of the course are carried out under exam conditions completing open book assessments and closed book assessments

Information on Test/Auditions/Interview Requirements
-
  • Successful applicants will be invited to a formal interview – this will include a written task. All criteria will be sent out prior to interview.

  • The formal interview has a scoring criteria based on - presentation and communication skills at interview, along with the written task
