AUDIO FOR MULTIMEDIA AND GAMING
SCQF Level 5
Music & Sound Production

Course Overview
-

Through this practical and flexible 12-week course, you will be given the tools and develop the skills required to work with audio for multimedia in the modern digital age. With a focus on established and experimental practices, the course will explore audio production for a range of applications: video games, podcast production, advertising, film, website and radio.

What You Will Learn
-

Using the many powerful features of Pro-Tools Ultimate, students will explore a range of audio production and editing techniques in line with their own individual goals. This could range from working with live media (such as gameplay footage, producing and publishing your own podcast or producing incidental music/sound for any form of media).

Students will also gain knowledge of the creative process in relation to sound design and composition with an aim to have created an original product by the end of the course.  Students will receive and Edinburgh College certificate and be encouraged to progress onto the AVID accredited Pro-Tools 101 course starting May to further develop their skills and future opportunities in the Creative Industries.
