Course Overview

Travel and Tourism Level 6 National Certificate (NC) is an interactive and practical course designed to enhance your knowledge of tourist destinations and the different roles you could work in. Develop excellent customer service skills, discover dynamic employability subjects and enhance your career prospects. This course ensures you are well prepared for further studies in this area which could lead to an exciting career in this growing industry. There will be an opportunity to take part in a study abroad unit and past locations have included Berlin and Belfast. Edinburgh College has state-of-the-art facilities and you will use aircraft simulation programmes in order to gain hands-on experience in the industry. You will attend guest lectures from the best in the travel business and learn about the abundance of job opportunities available in this growing sector.

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of six National 5s or equivalent of SCQF Level 5 (preferably to include English)  
  • Or relevant and comprehensive industry experience  
  • Or successful completion of NC Travel and Tourism at Level 5

English Proficiency Requirements
  • IELTS 5.5
How the course is assessed
  • You will be assessed through practical and written assignments throughout the year.

  • Candidates will be asked to attend an interview to assess if this is the correct course for you
