4 things you might not know about Edinburgh College

Thinking of joining us here at Edinburgh College? Here are a few things you might not know about us.

We have students from over 100 countries

Our students come from around the world – some studying at the College all year, some on short courses covering English language, Travel & Tourism, Engineering and more. We love to welcome students to Edinburgh, and have a dedicated International Team to support international students’ every needs. Whether you’re worried about money, not sure how to renew your visa or simply just homesick, there will always be someone there for you

We used to be 3 different colleges

In 2012, 3 colleges – Jewel & Esk, Stevenson and Telford – joined together to become Edinburgh College. Bringing together the skills and experience of these 3 institutions, we are proud to offer more than 700 vocational and academic courses across our 4 campuses. We have programmes covering everything from entry level to degree level, with subjects from Engineering and Modern Languages to Music & Sound Production and Travel & Tourism.

We have all kinds of Societies and Sports Clubs

Edinburgh College’s award winning Students’ Association (ECSA) is here to represent students as well as supporting fun and exciting activities happening throughout all of our 4 campuses. Whether you like films, board games, basketball or climbing, there will be something for you to enjoy with one of our Societies or Sports Clubs.

Our alumni include Doctor Who and Marvel star Karen Gillan

Karen Gillan studied at Edinburgh College’s Performing Arts Studio Scotland (PASS), and became a patron of PASS in just March this year.
