A: Please keep checking the ‘live’ link in the email you were sent as some timetables are still being finalised.

Q: I haven’t received my timetable. Why?

A: Please email cams@edinburghcollege.ac.uk and we can check if a timetable has been sent to you.

Q: My conditional offer requires me to complete a PVG check but I haven’t heard anything about this?

A: As students will not be going out on placement until semester 2 we will be completing a PVG check with students during November and December. We will contact you with more details nearer the time.

Q: I have a conditional offer and following my SQA results have met all those conditions – what do I need to do now?

A: Congratulations! We are currently working our way through all the results and offers over the next few days. The next stage will be if you have met your conditions we will send you an email with an unconditional offer.

If you have already accepted the conditional offer then the unconditional offer will be automatically accepted too. You will receive an email with further information shortly.

Q: My results are from another awarding body (not the SQA), what should I do?

A: If your results are from another awarding body (not SQA) then you should scan a copy of the results and email cams@edinburghcollege.ac.uk and mark in the subject line of the email ‘confirmation of conditions met’.

Q: I have a conditional offer and have not met all the conditions, what should I do?

A: We are currently working our way through all the results and offers. The next stage will be for you to call back during our Clearing Event on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th August (between 10am and 4pm) when a member of curriculum will be able to advise you on the next steps. The number is 0131 297 8300.

When students do not meet their conditions, we make every effort to move them to a lower course. However this is not always possible so the best thing to do is call us back during our Clearing Event.

Options to be considered:

  • You may still be able to keep your place (depends on class numbers)
  • An alternative course could be offered at a different level
  • Look at other curriculum areas with place available

The next stage will be for you to call back during our Clearing Event on Thursday 6th or Friday 7th August between 10am and 4pm. A member of staff from the curriculum area will be able to advise you on the next steps and what is available. You can call us on 0131 297 8300.
