Welcome to Sighthill campus! Tucked away in the West of Edinburgh, Sighthill campus is home to the Music Box for budding musicians and sound producers and our Centre for Sport and Exercise.

Here is everything you need to know about the campus, and contact details for more information if we haven’t covered what you’re looking for.

Where is my classroom?

There are sign posts across the campus with room numbers to point you in the right direction, or you can ask reception if you need help. If you want to have a peak at what the campus looks like before you get there, take a look at our 360 degree tour of the college. Find it here.

What is an LDT and where do I find them?

Most full-time students have a named LDT who will act as your main point of contact throughout the year. Your LDT will support you and monitor your attendance and progress on your course.

Through weekly tutorials and regular guidance sessions, your LDT aims to make you more employable and/or ready to progress to your next course.

Their office is on the 5th floor in room 514 for students to drop in.

Who do I talk to about funding?

If the website doesn’t have the information you need, you can talk to our Student Funding team by emailing them at this address: studentfunding@edinburghcollege.ac.uk.

I have additional support needs – who can I talk to?

We provide confidential support and guidance for students with additional support needs. To talk to someone, you can email student.support@edinburghcollege.ac.uk.

I need to pay my fees, where do I go?

You must pay your fees before the start of your course. Read our guide here. You can pay for your fees at the cash office on the ground floor near the Enterprise centre. If you have any questions you can email Finance at cashiers@edinburghcollege.ac.uk.

What is ECSA?

ECSA stands for Edinburgh College Students Association. If you have an issue with any aspect of student life such as funding or academic problems, ECSA are there to help. Check out their website.

Advice and Guidance

Our Guidance team can help with advice on accommodation, money management, choosing the right course, finding part-time work, writing a CV and applying to university. You can speak to someone at a drop-in session 11am – 3pm (Mon-Fri).

Where can I eat?

The Food Court is located at the end of The Street, on the ground floor. It is open 8am – 2pm Monday to Friday.

Where can I get a coffee/tea?

There are two places at Sighthill to get a coffee. Firstly, there is the Atrium on the right hand side of the front doors, open 8am – 2pm Monday to Friday. Secondly, there is the coffee shop at the end of The Street opposite the Food Court, open 7.30am – 5pm (Monday & Wednesday), 7.30am – 6.30pm (Tuesday & Thursday) and 7.30am – 4pm (Friday).

Where is the library?

The library is located on the 2nd floor, you can access the library via the staircase to the right when entering from the north entrance.

What is the best way to get to Sighthill?

By bus travelling from the city centre: 2, 12 and 22.

By bus travelling from the Airport: 35.

From Wester Hailes: 20 and 21.

From North Edinburgh: 21.

From South Queensferry/Kirkliston: 63.

We recommend taking your bike – visit Cycle Streets to plan your route.

Can I park my car at the campus?

You can apply for a parking permit by picking up a form from reception. A parking permit must be displayed on your vehicle at all times. Please note that this does not guarantee you a parking space.

What else do I need to know?

Students can take advantage of the great sporting facilities across our campuses. At Sighthill, you can get discounted rates on a gym membership at our Sports and Exercise Centre.
