If you’re coming along to one of our open days this month, here’s everything you need to know about the day.
Register with us
When you first enter the campus you will see our registration desk, where you can ask any questions you might have, pick up leaflets and find out more about the event. Here you can register your details so we can contact you with pre-application information including application deadlines and course information.
Go on a campus tour
You will be invited to take a tour of the campus, including classrooms, workshops, libraries and social areas, giving you an idea of what it’s really like to be a student at Edinburgh College. Tours start every half an hour. Find out where the starting point is at the registration desk.
Watch a presentation
As part of the tour you will watch a presentation all about Edinburgh College. The presentation goes into more detail about the student experience and what amazing things our students, past and present, have done during their time at college.
Find out about student support and funding
Staff will be on hand to give you guidance on funding, fees and student support during your time at college. Remember to pick up one of our funding quick guides, or use the funding tool on the website to find out what support you can get.
Meet teaching staff
In the main hall you will see a table for each subject area, and a friendly faced lecturer waiting to chat. Our lecturing staff can take you through each of the courses that are suited to you and help you make a decision on which one to apply for. They can give you advice on your personal statement, entry requirements and what you can do after the course so you make the right choice for you.
Pick up a prospectus
At each of our curriculum tables you will find a prospectus for you to pick up and take away, which includes everything you need to know about our courses, student stories and progression maps.
Find out what course is right for you
By the end of the night you will know exactly which course you will be applying for. Or at the very least, you will have picked up a few prospectuses to give you some inspiration as you prepare for the years ahead.
