Skills Boost for Retail and Hospitality is an exciting new course that has been developed to allow you the opportunity to see if education and a career in retail and hospitality are right for you. It is a 2-week course that will allow you to gain the confidence, skills and knowledge so you can progress on to a full-time course in an area that interests you or potentially interview for a job. You will also develop your core skills including ICT while using a variety of engaging online learning activities.
Please complete the college application if you are interested in starting or re-starting your Education at Edinburgh College. Interviews will be arranged for you on Friday 7 May 2021. You will be interviewed by a member of Edinburgh College staff on Microsoft teams (please let the college know if you have an issue with accessing Microsoft teams).
This course will start on 17 May and will be the beginning of your learning journey. If this does not suit we will be running a second course start date in early June.
If you are in receipt of Universal credit your benefit will remain in place during the duration of this short course.
This course will run in May and June, so if you have missed out on this application process or are unable to interview on the dates indicated above you will have another opportunity to apply.
There is nothing to pay to undertake this course, it is fully funded by the Young Persons Guarantee and Transitional Training Fund.
