Would you like to learn more about quilting and patchwork by hand? Are you interested in creating a personal visual statement, inspired by a theme of your choice? Then this fun engaging evening class is for you.
This bespoke class has been created .to introduce students back into a supportive learning environment where fun and creativity are at the heart of its learning, a chance to meet new like-minded people and work towards a tangible outcome.

What you will learn
Through weekly 2-hour sessions, you will be led by a qualified and creative lecturer to achieve the following outcomes
Weeks 1 – 9
Introduction to Patchwork and Quilting by hand
Create an applied textile design using paper piecing, applique and embroidery as a basis for hand quilting, to produce a wall hanging.
Weeks 10 - 18
Introduction to Creative Sketchbooks
Create a personal visual statement, using self-generated images, inspired by a theme of your choice, combining a range of paper and binding techniques, to produce a creative sketchbook.
Materials will be provided but you may be encouraged to bring images and some items from home, to personalise your experience, however, this is not essential.

- Continual assessment through weekly classes

Entry requirements
- No formal qualifications are needed for this course
Information on Tests / Auditions / Interview Requirements
- There is no formal interview process
- You will be required to pay £300 which will cover the course and materials needed for your weekly sessions.
- A payment plan can be agreed but all fees must be paid in order to complete the course.
