Course overview
This course is for senior-phase pupils who are still at school.
This exciting course is designed to give students an introduction to Photography. Students are given the opportunity to develop their interests and skills in photography and produce a portfolio of work. Students are encouraged to explore different styles and techniques of photography and are introduced to the creative process.
The course is based on 4 SQA units which will equip students with various skills and develop their knowledge and understanding of practical photography. The qualification will enable them to progress to a higher-level photography course or support applications to college or university courses in related subjects.
Studying this course at Edinburgh College means that students will be taught by lecturers who are experienced professional photographers, and students will have access to professional photography studios and equipment, industry-standard editing suites and our new state-of-the-art print facility.
