Course overview
This is a 15-week evening course that gives attendees an introduction to British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf Awareness. It is aimed at family, friends, health professionals and carers of those with hearing impairments. The course includes additional self-study time on our College's online platform, with access to resources and videos to consolidate learning.

How the course is assessed
- SQA assessment at the end of the course: 'British Sign Language: An Introduction'.
Number of days per week
You have a choice of 2 evenings:
- Group A: Tuesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM. The course will start on Tuesday, 25 August and finish on Tuesday, 8 December.
- Group B: Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM. The course will start on Thursday, 27 August and finish on Thursday, 10 December.

- An interest in learning and better understanding BSL.
