Access Courses

We offer a range of access courses for people who are planning to study on one of our Higher Education courses, or go on to university, but do not currently meet the academic entry requirements.

All access courses are at either Level 5 or Level 6 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

Start dates August
Course duration One semester or one academic year
Class details Average 16 class hours per week, plus additional self-directed study. Maximum of 20 students per class.
Entry requirements Minimum 11 years of school education with good results in subjects relevant to the access course you apply for. 

IELTS 5.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component band, or equivalent.  

Students will also be required to meet us for an interview via Zoom. 

Please note that only courses at SCQF Level 6 and above are suitable for international students who require a student visa to study in the UK.
