JobFit Funded Training
What is JobFit?
JobFit is a fully funded workforce development and recruitment service, managed by Capital City Partnership. It connects employers with the right talent while helping individuals gain the skills, experience, and confidence they need to succeed.
Edinburgh College is an approved delivery partner under the JobFit Framework. Using JobFit funding, we work closely with employers and individuals to create training and employment pathways that respond to real workforce needs.
What do JobFit offer?
JobFit offers funding for several courses and training opportunities at Edinburgh College, from entry level to advanced.
Entry level courses
Entry level courses last up to two weeks and are for individuals looking to get into employment. We offer entry level courses in the following areas:
- Early Learning and Childcare
Advanced level courses
Advanced courses last between 10-16 weeks and are for individuals already in employment and looking to upskill. We offer advanced courses in the following areas:
- Construction / NetZero / Retrofit
- AI and Data Skills
- Tourism, Hospitality, Culture
- Advanced Health and Social Care
- Other areas (including Security, Health and Beauty)
How it works
1. Understanding your needs
We work closely with employers to understand recruitment and training requirements, whether that involves filling vacancies, addressing skills shortages, or supporting staff development.
2. Training and upskilling
We support employers to refer existing staff or access new candidates for relevant training programmes, from entry-level to advanced courses.
3. Job-ready results
Participants complete their training and gain the skills, qualifications, and confidence needed to support business growth and progress in their careers.
