At Edinburgh College, we have dedicated professionals who offer information and advice to support you while at College.

Course information and advice

If you are thinking about coming to Edinburgh College and would like to find out more about our courses or need help to make an application, you can get in touch with our Course Information team. You can make an appointment to speak with one of our Course Advisers to discuss course options. Our Advisers will help you with any questions you have about coming to college and with your course application.

Guidance

We have Guidance staff at each campus who are dedicated to helping you throughout your time at Edinburgh College. Our friendly and experienced team will help you with any questions you have about being at college. The Guidance team can provide information on:

  • Student finance and funding  
  • Budgeting for student life  
  • Childcare funding  
  • Accommodation  
  • How to register with our JobZone to find part-time work  
  • Support for Care Experienced Students
  • UCAS applications  
  • Support for students with caring responsibilities

Wellbeing

The Wellbeing team is here to help make sure you enjoy the best possible student experience and provide services to support your mental health. They run mental health workshops and can provide support with mentoring and study skills.  

All students at Edinburgh College have access to SilverCloud Health, an online mental health platform. SilverCloud offers a range of emotional support programmes, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which are designed to support your mental health and wellbeing.  

Edinburgh College also has a Counselling Service that can offer six-weekly sessions with a qualified counsellor.

Careers advice

At Edinburgh College, we want all our students to realise their full potential by moving to the right career or course, either while still at college or after you have left. The college provides a number of resources to guide you through this process. This includes a Skills Development Scotland Careers Advisor who can advise you on all aspects of career planning including CV preparation, interview techniques and career options.
