Through these fully funded opportunities, eligible parents and carers can access training and qualifications at no cost. Whether you're looking to enter the workforce, develop new skills, or progress in your current role, these programmes are designed to improve employment prospects, increase household income, and help you achieve your career goals.

RISE

RISE is designed to help parents and carers access sustainable, higher-earning work through whole-family approaches.

• Delivers targeted, high-impact skills training alongside "wraparound" support (e.g., help with childcare, travel, and study costs) to fit around family life.
• Applicants must be parents or carers with an individual income of less than £33,000.
• Applicants can be either employed or unemployed.
• Up to £3,750 of funding per learner. 
• £9 million investment across the college sector.

TAF

TAF is designed to address immediate financial hurdles to career and wage progression.

• Removes financial barriers to existing skill-building programmes, enabling learners to complete short, work-focused skills courses.
• Applicants must be parents or carers with an individual income of less than £33,000.
• Applicants must already be in employment (experiencing in-work poverty).
• Up to £500 of funding per learner. 
• £2 million investment across the college sector.
