Course overview

The BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is a two-year course accredited by The British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRAT). It provides the training needed to pursue a career as a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator.

It is the only accredited Sports Rehabilitation degree in Scotland and is delivered in partnership with Queen Margaret University (QMU). This unique degree offers an articulation route for students who have already achieved an HND in Sports Therapy with an A pass grade in Graded Units 1 and 2.

The first three years of the degree program are primarily taught at college, with the fourth year taught mainly at QMU.

  • Applying Skills of Critical Enquiry (project)
  • Practice-based Learning in Sports Rehabilitation

Placement information

  • Placements will take place in a range of settings, including private practice, the NHS, the third sector, sports clubs, and sporting events at various locations across the central belt of Scotland.
  • One hundred hours of placement activity are required per year.

  • You will be assessed using a range of methods, including practical exams and written coursework.
