Multi-Cultural Family Base to host pop-up at Sighthill
The Multi-Cultural Family Base will be hosting a pop-up this Thursday (29 October) at the Sighthill Campus in Room S0-23 from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
The MCFB is an organisation which focuses on early intervention, providing support to people before challenges become entrenched. They offer help during key transitions including the birth of a child, starting at College, or moving to Edinburgh as new migrants.

This particular pop-up is a Bright Choices drop-in session, which will offer free and confidential help to women, men and families from ethnically diverse backgrounds who’ve experienced or are at risk of experiencing ‘honour’-based abuse. This can include domestic abuse, coercive control, forced marriage or Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
Any students or staff who are interested in speaking to someone about these issues, whether for themselves or on behalf of someone they are concerned about, are encouraged to attend the session, with further pop-ups planned in November and December.
