How Good Is Our College?
How good is our college quality framework is designed to support and enable colleges to evaluate the quality of provision and services - whilst reporting on progress in relation to outcome agreements. How good is our college? aligns with a suite of Education Scotland quality improvement frameworks to support external stakeholders in engaging with colleges to review and enhance the quality of provision and services. In addition, the arrangements seek to foster increased collaboration across colleges and other educational providers to exemplify and share excellent practice across sectors.

The Edinburgh College Evaluative Report and Enhancement Plan is the plan which outlines the College’s approach to measure ‘How good is our College?’:

Strategic Plan

Edinburgh College has created a new Strategic Plan, setting out our strategic aims over the next five years to 2022.

The plan was developed with input from the College Board and Executive, and then put out to consultation with staff, students and stakeholders to make sure it is the best possible roadmap for our development. Following the consultation period, the plan was signed off by the College Board of Management.

The new Strategic Plan sets out our vision for further education as a regional college across Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian. It outlines our approach to delivering an expansive and progressive curriculum to meet the needs of industry and equip students to meet the demands of the modern workplace. The plan has the college’s values at its centre, to define our culture and foster a positive working environment. It also focuses on our status as a key partner in community planning partnerships.
