Plans for session 2021/22

For session 2021/22, the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff will remain our top priority. In order to keep everyone safe, we are taking a phased approach to safely introducing more activity to our campuses. For the start of session, the majority of our courses will begin online with only a small number of priority groups undertaking classes on campus. Courses will be delivered online for the start of session unless students are told otherwise by lecturing teams.

As things progress, we hope to introduce more students onto campuses for classes and will provide updates throughout the summer and the start of session on plans for individual courses.

As we begin to introduce more people back onto campuses, the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff will remain our priority.

We will continue to provide updates on the current situation via email, our website and social media channels on a regular basis.

The majority of our staff are continuing to work from home and are available virtually to provide support and guidance to our students, partners and stakeholders.

All staff are available via email, please see our Contact Us page for key email addresses. To contact individual staff members please email

Latest Case Update

We have 4 positive cases of COVID-19 to report as of 17 September 2021.

Case breakdown by campus:

Number of positive cases
Granton Campus
Midlothian Campus
Milton Road Campus
Sighthill Campus

The College will work with the Scottish Government's Test and Protect team to manage all cases that occur and to identify any close contacts who may need to get tested or self-isolate. All close contacts will be informed and provided with appropriate guidance.

Lateral Flow Tests

Free, rapid and easy-to-use COVID-19 tests (lateral flow tests) are available for collection from our campuses. While these tests are voluntary, we strongly encourage students and staff who do not have symptoms of COVID-19, that are required to come on to campus, to use these easy-to-use tests at home. The test kits are for anyone who does not have symptoms of COVID-19. If you are experiencing symptoms, have tested positive, are awaiting the result of a test or are self-isolating – PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO COLLEGE. More information on accessing free lateral flow tests can be found here.
