What you will learn
Dementia Care
This session explores the lived experience of dementia, challenges associated with cognitive decline, and the importance of person-centred approaches. Through our VR dementia programme, learners will gain powerful insight into sensory, emotional, and communication barriers that individuals may face. Practical strategies for compassionate, informed support will be developed throughout the session.
Trauma Informed Practice
Participants will examine the principles of trauma-informed care, including an understanding of how adverse experiences shape behaviour, communication, and engagement. The session focuses on promoting safety, trust, empowerment, choice, and collaboration, equipping learners to apply trauma-sensitive approaches across a range of care contexts.
Wellbeing and Resilience
This session introduces tools and techniques to support both personal and professional wellbeing. Learners will explore resilience-building strategies, reflective practice, stress awareness, and ways to create nurturing, supportive environments—for themselves and those they care for.
