Get Started in Engineering is a 10-week introductory course designed to give you the skills, knowledge and experience to decide if an Engineering career is right for you. Over the 10 weeks, you will gain experience in Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, and you will have the opportunity to specialise further by joining one of our January fast-track courses.
What you will learn
The course will develop your knowledge in the following areas:
- Electricity generation and basic electrical circuits
- Safely building and testing electrical circuits
- Building and testing electronic circuits
- Communicating technical information through engineering drawing and computer-aided design
- Developing hand skills and performing engineering maintenance tasks
