Introduction to Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a full-time course taught at Edinburgh College’s Midlothian campus. The course is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in the electrical engineering industry.

Successful completion of this course can also lead to our Electrical Engineering NC Higher, which can lead to our Electrical Engineering HNC. This course can also prepare you for an apprenticeship in installation or maintenance.
You will be taught by staff with extensive experience in the electrical engineering industry. You will also have access to Edinburgh College workshops where you will use up-to-date technology and equipment. The course is based on both the workshop and classroom, ensuring you get a combination of practical and technical skills.

Entry requirements
- Mathematics or Physics at National 4 (please note we do not accept Application of Maths).
- A keen interest in Electrical engineering is desirable.
- A positive learner reference is desirable.
