IOSH Managing Safely Refresher is a course designed for those responsible for the day-to-day welfare of employees, visitors, clients, suppliers, and contractors whilst on business premises. This course will refresh the topics covered by the full course and update candidates on any legislative changes.

The refresher course aims to:
- Update your knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues
- Review the changes in legislation and the impact on companies
- Provide you with an understanding of compliance and practical systems control
- Provide a synopsis of health and safety legislation updates in Safety management systems
- Active and reactive monitoring
- Hazard and risk definition
- Risk assessment
- Control measures
How the course is assessed
- Multiple-choice exam and a practical workplace risk assessment project.
Number of days per week
- One full day at our Sighthill campus. (Various start dates).
Entry requirements
- You must have previously gained or refreshed the Managing Safely certificate within 5 years of the start of the training course.
- Although 5 years is the maximum, we strongly recommend refreshing every three years to keep up to date with legislation.
