Course overview
This course will equip you with foundational knowledge and skills in law and police practices, providing a solid base for further study and future employment. A fundamental understanding of the law and Police Scotland will prepare you to progress to the Legal and Police Studies Level 6 course, starting in January 2026.
Upon completing the Level 6 course, you can advance to HNC Legal Services or HNC Police Studies programs in August 2026.

- Develop essential core skills relevant to careers and further study in legal and police-related fields.
- Prepare you for progression into Level 6 and related academic pathways.

Entry requirements
- A minimum of three relevant National 4s (must include English and Maths/Numeracy)

- Any relevant National Qualifications Group Award at SCQF level 4 or 5 (including Comms/Numeracy)
