Course overview

This course is for senior-phase pupils who are still at school.

This course provides a pathway to the Foundation Apprenticeship in IT Software, teaching a range of vocational and life skills, including computer programming and problem-solving.

The qualification will also improve your computational thinking skills, a competence which is increasingly recognised as vital in the 21st century.

If you wish to progress to a Higher National Certificate (HNC)/Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Games Development, you will require further study at a higher level and a complementary maths qualification.

  • Pupils should be studying towards National 5 in maths, English, computing, or a science-related subject.
