Course overview

This 18-week travel and tourism course at SCQF Level 5 gives you an excellent introduction to the travel and tourism industry. There is a selection of units which will be studied at level 6. This is an interactive and practical course designed to enhance your knowledge of tourist destinations and the different roles you could work in, develop airline and service skills, and improve your employability skills to enhance your career prospects.

This course prepares you for further studies in this area, which could lead to an exciting career in this growing sector. Edinburgh College's state-of-the-art facilities, including an aircraft classroom and airport check-in facilities, will provide you with hands-on experience in the industry.

Entry requirements

A minimum requirement of four National 4s to include English and Mathematics or Communications and Numeracy, or equivalent, and 2 National 5s at grade C or above.

Applicants will be invited for an information session at Granton Campus.
