What is Moodle?
Moodle is Edinburgh College's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). For most courses, this is where the vast majority of your learning and teaching information will be.
You will use Moodle to access your course resources and learning materials, be assessed, upload any work required of you for your course, and receive feedback.
You can find out more information about Moodle and how it works by reading the Student Moodle Introduction Guide.
The guide will give you instructions on;
- Where can you find Moodle?
- How to sign in
- Moodle dashboard explained
- You courses explained
- And more.

How to access Moodle
Sign in to Moodle using your Edinburgh College email address (e.g., ec2112345@edinburghcollege.ac.uk) and password.
Although a Moodle Mobile application is available, we recommend accessing Edinburgh College Moodle directly via a web browser for the best experience and full compatibility with all features.
Users who use the mobile application may find that certain aspects of the site are unavailable or do not function correctly. We can offer no support in these cases as the app is not developed or supported by Edinburgh College.
