A young man from Edinburgh is well on his way to a career in media after spending the last few years gaining work experience in the industry.

Twenty-three-year-old Sean Scullion, who has autism and currently studies HNC Radio at Edinburgh College, has completed work experience at SAM Radio, where he co-presented a weekly programme on the topic of films. Sean then went on to work for Edinburgh-based Media Education, and most recently, Sean gained work experience at Odeon Cinema in Edinburgh.

Sean said: “I’ve really enjoyed the experience of working at all three organisations – I was welcomed into each teams and didn’t feel like having autism created any barriers. I would like to have a career in the media industry and I gained a lot of experience that will help me achieve this goal.”
