Graduation Class of 2022 - Friday 30 September 2022
Edinburgh College is hosting three graduation ceremonies on Friday 30 September for successful students from Higher National Programmes and those who have studied at SCQF Level 7 and above will graduate.

Doors open - 10.30am - Seated by 11.40am
Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Business
Ceremony Two – 3.15pm
Doors open – 2.50pm - Seated by 3.00pm
Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment
Ceremony Three – 6.30pm
Doors open – 5.15pm - Seated – 6.10pm
Faculty of Creative Industries

Photography, Gowning and Tickets
All graduates MUST wear an academic gown and hood
Costs
Gown Hire: £27
Guest Tickets: £6 each
(All graduate tickets are free and guest tickets must be purchased at £6 each with a maximum of 4 guest tickets per graduate)
No students may take part in the ceremony unless they have registered.
What to expect on the day
Graduating students should arrive at the McEwan hall no later than 1 hour before the start of their ceremony.
Upon arrival at the McEwan Hall, graduating students should report to the Registration Area, via the pavilion entrance.
All guests should enter the Hall through the entrances for their designated seated areas.
At registration all graduates will be given a seating card before proceeding to the gowning area and photography.
All graduating students must be robed and seated at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.
During the ceremony, attending graduating students will receive their scroll on stage with a photograph taken and then their certificate as they leave the stage.
Tickets
Attending graduates can purchase up to 4 guest tickets when registering and booking their gowning and photography with our appointed gowning provider.
Please note we do not expect any extra tickets for guests to become available.
Guest Seating
All guest seating will be located on Levels 1 and 2 at the McEwan Hall.
If any guests have any special requirements that may make this difficult please detail in the special requirements area when booking.
Children can attend the ceremony, but you should note that it may not be suitable for very young children because of the content and length.
All children under 5 years old are free but a ticket must be booked as part of the allocation.
All tickets once purchased are non-refundable
Dressing for the Occasion
All graduating students must wear the correct gown and hood for their award.
The dress code consist of your gown, hood, and formal dress.
Refunds
If, for whatever reason, you are no longer able to attend your ceremony, the following refund policy will be in place:
- Gowns – Before midnight on 23 September 2022, a refund will be given on gowns less a £10 administration fee.
- Tickets – All guest tickets once purchased are non-refundable.
