Edinburgh College works with UTEC StarNet to create 3D offshore asset management environment
Edinburgh College's Training and Development team and Immersive and Controlled (ICE) Lab has worked with 3D asset management software specialists UTEC StarNet to create a new 3D virtual asset management environment to enhance the firm’s client offering in the offshore sector.
Speaking about the process of working in partnership with Edinburgh College, UTEC StarNet’s Business Director Greg Hammond said: “The process was very professionally managed. The Edinburgh College team was knowledgeable and made the engagement process straightforward, ensuring the focus was on supporting our application and leveraging the College’s experience and insight.
“The College was flexible to adapt their development techniques to match the alternate approaches we were looking for within our project. Our contact meetings within the project were managed to suit both our businesses and commitments.
“Clearly during the pandemic, the use of more web-based collaborative interfaces helped to support the continuation of our project.
