Marking International Women's Day
To mark International Women's Day 2022, the College hosted a group of women from the local community at its Granton Campus in partnership with SHE Scotland and Project Esperanza.
The group spent the day celebrating each other, sharing stories and exploring the College's facilities - including our Renewables Centre and Beauty and Wellness salon.
Edinburgh College Principal Audrey Cumberford also shared a message to female colleagues about the importance of celebrating each other and how we can continue to #breakthebias - the theme for this year's day.
Some of our brilliant Student Experience team celebrated the day and received a rose from colleagues in our Facilities team.
We also shared Vehicle Paintwork and Repair Apprentice Rhona's story. Rhona works for L & I Eaton Accident Repair Centres while studying with us, she spoke to us about being an apprentice.
