Statement from Principal Audrey Cumberford on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

“Edinburgh College is deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and, as Principal, I send our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family and to those mourning her passing across the world. 

Queen Elizabeth II was a dedicated public servant and has been a constant figurehead throughout most of our lives. Her unwavering sense of duty and her commitment to service as our longest reigning monarch cannot be overstated.

As a mark of respect, the flags at our Milton Road Campus have been lowered to half-mast and will remain so until the day following Her Majesty’s state funeral.”
