Course overview
This Management and Leadership CMI Certificate is designed for middle managers and those aspiring to become senior management. This course will develop your leadership skills and provide up-to-date knowledge and understanding of related leadership topics.
You are required to complete 13 credits to earn the Certificate; with this course, you will earn 18 credits. You can later build on the certificate and work towards the full Diploma. For more information, visit the Chartered Management Institute website.
The course fee is £1,002.

How the course is assessed
- You will be continually assessed through written assignments set by CMI.
Number of days per week
- Online delivery via MS Teams one day per week from 1.30 PM to 4.30 PM.
- The next course start date is Wednesday, 17 September 2025
Please note: The first two units will be delivered and assessed between September and December 2025. The final unit (Reflective Practice) will be delivered and evaluated between May and June 2026.
Entry requirements
- HNC or equivalent level studies in management or a related subject.
- Educated to a minimum of SCQF level 7.
- Mature/experienced managers are accepted based on current or recent work experience.
