This qualification is designed for individuals who wish to develop professional management and leadership practices, possessing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to drive business activities in a senior management and leadership role. The role and responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to, taking responsibility for people, projects, operations and services to deliver organisational success.
They will possess the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development. The qualifications have been designed for practising or aspiring managers in roles such as:
- Senior Manager
- Regional Manager
- Specialist Manager (with expertise in a specific business or technical function such as quality, finance, risk, marketing, sales, IT, human resources, etc.)
- Director
- CEO

Extensive research has been conducted to ensure that these qualifications accurately reflect the tasks and responsibilities of managers in the roles outlined above in the workplace.
It is worth noting that this course equates to Level 11 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework, and that Level 7 in the title refers to the English Qualifications Framework.

How the course is assessed
Each unit is assessed through an academic assignment in the form of one of the following:
- A report or reflective account
- Work-based evidence accompanied by reports/reflective accounts that meet the assessment criteria
The Word count for each unit assessment is generally 4,500.
Number of days per week
- Online workshops on MS Teams, on a Wednesday morning, fortnightly from 9.30 AM to 12.15 PM from 24 September 2025.
- 12 online workshops in total
Entry requirements
- Applicants will be educated to an ordinary or honours degree level and be currently working in a middle or senior management role.
