Gateway to Social Services: Phase 2 can lead towards a rewarding career in Social Services. This course will prepare you for further study at Edinburgh College. This course will suit those seeking a career change or furthering their studies.
Students from this course can progress to the Level 6 Social Services course. This course is a progression from Gateway to Health and Social Care Phase 1, but students can also apply directly.

Number of days per week
- 3 days per week for 18 weeks.
Entry requirements
- Completed Gateway to Health and Care Professions: Phase 1.
- 16 years and over.
- Four National 4s, including English or a relevant Level 4 full-time course.
- If you do not meet the formal entry requirements but are an adult learner with relevant employment or life experience, you will be considered for entry to this course.

- Be clear in your personal statement about your reason for applying and where you would like to work in the future.
- All applicants who meet the entry qualifications may be invited to the College for an information session, after which offers will be made.

- Once Phase 2 is complete, you can progress to SCQF Level 6 Social Services or other relevant courses, which can then give you entry to HNC Social Services.
