Course overview

This is an eight-week evening course that introduces attendees to British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf Awareness. It is aimed at families, friends, health professionals, and carers of people with hearing impairments. The course includes additional self-study time on our Moodle platform, with access to resources and videos to consolidate learning.

  • No SQA award.
  • College certificate for achievement of learning objectives and good attendance.

Number of days per week

We have a choice of 2 evenings

  • Group A: Tuesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM
  • Group B: Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM

Entry requirements

  • An interest in learning and better understanding BSL.
