Course overview

Do you have trouble concentrating?  Or do you find it hard to study? Sometimes just cannot get the thinking process to kick in. Then this award is for you!

This award applies to all who want to develop creative and critical thinking skills, whatever their subject, their learning environment, situation or the context they are in.

Creative thinking can be learnt and applied through the thoughtful application of skills related to observation, data analysis, reflection, problem-solving, evaluation and critical appraisal.  Effective use of creative thinking skills opens up new opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities on some levels and at other levels can support well-being, exploration, curiosity and the development of resilience and tenacity, as well as other metacognitive skills.

Creative thinking involves looking at things from various perspectives, musing, testing, experimenting and challenging existing thought patterns.  It can be applied to any type of issue or situation.  When used effectively it can assist with the improvement of existing, or the development of entirely new or innovative thought processes
