Course overview
The PDA aims to prepare individuals for roles as peer support workers in mental health settings. It provides learners with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and core values to support others on their recovery journey, drawing meaningfully from their own lived experiences with mental health challenges.
You will learn a range of theories and concepts to enhance your understanding of Mental health recovery and how to develop and maintain a helping relationship to support others with their mental health recovery journey.

Entry requirements
- There are no formal qualifications required for this PDA. Lived experience with Mental health difficulties is desirable (either personally or professionally).
Information on Tests / Auditions / Interview Requirements
- A range of Assessment techniques will be used. Throughout the course, a reflective portfolio will be developed through written and oral accounts.
