Glow Goes Virtual for 2020
Last week we held our annual Glow festival, which normally sees our Creative Industries faculty takeover the city of Edinburgh, showcasing student talent in venues across the capital.
This year, Glow went virtual, and it was an amazing success.
Each day of last week (week beginning 22 June) Creative Industries took over the College’s Facebook for a five-day showcase of immense student talent – pre-recorded by students from across the faculty.
You can watch all of this year’s Virtual Glow content on the College’s YouTube channel – a playlist has been created for each day.
Head of Creative Industries Jakki Jeffery said: “Wow. I’m very proud of the skills, talents and resilience of our students.
“While we are very sad not to have been able to run our usual three-month Glow festival across Edinburgh, I’m delighted that our students have adapted and found new ways to share their wonderful performances with us.
“The Virtual Glow content was incredible and is wonderful testament not only to the hard work of our students, but also to the immense teaching and guidance they receive year in year out.
“Thank you to Creative Industries support staff, colleagues from across the College and our students for making this year’s Glow festival a brilliant success. Let’s hope we can bring Glow back to the city next year.”
