Upskill your at no cost with Edinburgh College – applications now open for the Flexible Workforce Development Fund 2022/23

Edinburgh College is now accepting applications for professional training from businesses and third sector organisations funded through the Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF).

The sixth year of funding through the FWDF has officially been launched which means businesses of all sizes can now access free training to develop and retrain their people.

The Flexible Workforce Development Fund allows organisations with an annual payroll bill of £3m+ (or apprenticeship levy payers) to access up to £15k worth of training for their staff, while SMEs (or those with 250 staff or less) can apply for up to £5k worth of training.

Training courses are available in the following areas: Management and Leadership Qualifications; Mental Health and Wellbeing; Personal Development and Soft Skills; IOSH and NEBOSH Health and Safety; IMI Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; Creative and Digital Media; Microsoft Office Skills; Hospitality, and much more.

Bespoke courses and training programmes can also be designed in partnership between applicants and trainers for those who are looking for unique or nuanced areas of professional development.

All Edinburgh College courses are delivered by industry-expert lecturers and trainers, and are designed to build delegates’ knowledge, skills and professional confidence by using current research, intelligence and application methods.

The application process is simple, and from the get-go, applicants are assigned a dedicated Business Development Advisor who will guide them through the process and will work alongside lecturers and trainers to ensure that the training development needs of all delegates are met.

We’re delighted the Flexible Workforce Development Fund is back for a sixth year and we are looking forward to delivering training to more businesses and charities in the coming months. Our College has expertise in a vast range of sectors and industries which means we are perfectly placed to be the go-to professional training provider for organisations across the region. We would encourage any employer who is considering their staff training and development schedules for the year ahead, to get in touch and secure their place for 2023.
