Course overview

HND Television and Film with Multi-Camera is the progression from HNC Television and Film with Multi-Camera Operations at the Sighthill Campus, but if you have an HNC in a similar subject area or a strong portfolio of relevant prior experience, you may also be considered for a place.

The course will build on your research and writing skills, as well as your technical skills in camera, editing, sound recording, lighting, audio post-production, and colour correction. In addition, you will learn to direct in various genres and styles, both factual and dramatic.

You will acquire skills of criticism and research that will give you a solid grounding for progression onto a university honours degree and employment. In addition, you will produce a range of short programmes that will provide you with a practical understanding of film, video, and television production and enable you to compile an impressive showreel, which will aid you in taking your first steps into this exciting industry.
