Course overview
This 18-week exciting course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to competently perform basic Barbering techniques.
The course is for individuals with hairdressing qualifications and experience wishing to add to their portfolio of skills.
As you work within our professional salon environment and Barbershop, you will gain essential practical experience working on clients and mannequin heads, working with high-end product companies such as Wella, Osmo and American Crew during practical sessions on paying clients to enhance your employability prospects further.

- The cost of the course is £500, and it must be paid before the start of the course. Course fees are non-refundable once the course has started.
- Some theory will be delivered online - you will be required to have access to IT to enable you to complete this part of the course, e.g. laptop, Pc, iPhone, Android phone

Placement information
- All students must be working in the Hairdressing or Barbering industry.
How the course is assessed
- All practical assessments are carried out on paying clients within our Barbershop.
- The theoretical aspects of the course are carried out by completing open-book assignments and invigilated closed-book exams.
Number of days per week
- Monday afternoons every week for 18 weeks from 1.30 PM to 4 PM.
- Plus 12 hours of self-directed study.
Entry requirements
- You must be 16 years of age or older before the start date of the course
- You must have paid for the course in full
- Hold a Level 5 Hairdressing qualification or be working towards the qualification

- There is no formal interview process.
