The Level 1 Award in Business Skills provides students with the opportunity to develop key practical skills essential for every business, serving as a valuable route into employment. Upon completing this qualification, learners will also be equipped with a strong foundation from which to progress to further study with AAT in either accountancy or bookkeeping, if they so desire.
This qualification will particularly suit those learners with minimal work experience or those who require additional support to progress.
This may include adult returners, traineeship participants seeking basic employability skills, or those who want to study at a higher level.

How the course is assessed
- This course is assessed through multiple-choice and project-based assessments.
- You will be required to attend college to complete your AAT assessment, which will take place at the end of the course.
Number of days per week
- This course is online, and you will receive 1 hour of class contact time per week via a Teams class.
Entry requirements
- National 4 qualification in English and Mathematics
- Plus one other relevant* National 4 qualifications
- Other equivalent qualifications or experience
