Course overview

Welding Processes is a 12-week evening course that introduces you to the following welding processes,

  • Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA)
  • Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG)
  • Oxy-Acetylene
  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)

This is a practical evening class. You will need to bring fire-retardant overalls and safety footwear.

What you will learn

  • An understanding of safe working practices and safe usage of welding processes
  • MIG, TIG, MMA and Oxy-Acetylene gas welding.

How the course is assessed

  • Continually assessed throughout the course.

Number of days per week

  • 3 hours per week.

Entry requirements

  • No formal entry requirements are necessary.

English Proficiency Requirements

IELTS 5.5
