Sunny Evans – Fast Track into Financial Services
Sunny Evans was among the first Edinburgh cohort to complete the Fast Track into Financial Services course run in partnership with industry partners and Skills Development Scotland (SDS).
We hear from Sunny about his experiences of the course and his plans for the future.
How was your experience of the Fast Track course?
The programme had a strong focus on developing the skills required to secure a role within the financial industry and helped to develop broad range of skills and techniques from areas such as retail banking, economics, risk management, professional conduct, and many other relevant areas.
Were there particular elements of the course which you liked the most?
The high calibre of industry speakers really made the course. The industry professionals that gave their time to lecture during the course came from many different areas from within the financial sector and offered a great wealth of knowledge.
What is it like learning online during the COVID-19 pandemic?
The tutors did an excellent job of utilising new interactive elements during class, making each session fun and engaging.
What are your plans for the future?
I am looking to secure an entry-level role within an established financial institution, and as I develop my skills and can provide more value to the firm, I aim to move up in position and increase my salary and standard of living.
